I am supposed to start my progesterone tonight. I have Prometrium (sp??) 200mg. Now, my gyno had me using it as a suppository. But, when I was at the RE the other day, I asked if I could have a new script for more since I was out from what my gyno gave me many months ago. The RE I saw that did my iui (the other one in the practice and not who I normally see) said that he recommends taking it orally, but Dr. G (my RE who is on vacation for 2 weeks) recommends using it as a suppository...when I asked how he wanted me to take it he said orally is fine. But, does it really matter? Should I do what my own RE would recommend if he were there? Plus, doesn't it make more sense to put it closer to where it's needed? That's what I always assumed.
So, what would you do? I'm thinking just doing it as a suppository even though I HATE the mess it makes!

Re: Progesterone...where do I put it? Opinions needed by tonight!
Definitely as a suppository!
I used it orally first with DD, and then for 6 cycles this time around. I switched to suppositories this last cycle, and WOW! Huge difference. I'm never going to back to taking it orally. It's way more effective as a suppository.
