I did not think I needed one, but now I feel like I'd want one for walks and such. However, being out of work, I cannot spend a lot and it seems like the better ones are more money (of course). Olivia is 13lbs and 25 inches - is she too big at this point for a carrier? Does it make sense to get anything now since I may not be using it for long? Which one do you recommend, if not too late?

Ditto this! Sophie loves being worn now, but hated it a month or do ago. I have a mei tai and love it. Is there a local baby wearing group near you? They should be helpful in your decision. They might even have some loaner carriers you can try out before buying.
