Seeing all these post about baby names got me curious about name meanings.  What does your name mean?

    Esm? is french for Esteemed & Beloved

    Esm is how you phonetically say 'name' in Arabic.

    Rachel Leigh supposedly is "innocent like a lamb." I had to laugh at that during my wild phase in high school and college.

    Sarah means princess. I always thought this was rather ironic as I am very much a tomboy.

    It depends on what origin you look at for my name and what it means. My mom named me after her sister that passed away at age 2.

    Nicole-Victory of the people...My mom just loved the name and I thank her so much for not creating some crazy name no one can pronunce or spell!

    My first name is Sydney- a feminine version of "Sidney" which means is a contraction of St. Denys. Pretty lame. Grace is my middle name, self explanatory! 

     I was curious after reading this and looked up DS's name- Wesley- it means the West Meadow.

    Karen = Pure. There's no particular reason my parents picked the name other than they liked it. I laugh at the meaning though. Pure my ass!

    Katie means pure. Lea means delicate or weary. Purely weary is pretty much what I'm feeling at the moment.

    My name (Kelly) means warrior woman. Not sure I live up to it but it's a nice goal to strive for! Dd is Maren which means either pearl or sea of sorrow depending on which ethnicity you choose. She's in a whinny phase so I tend to think she's the latter at the moment!

    My name means from a place with laurel trees, or something stupid like that. DS's name means gift. It fits so well, he was unplanned so I always say he's my gift from God.
