LO Grinding Teeth Together all the time

Hi All, I know I do'nt post to often I'm more of a lurker, but LO has about 8 teeth and he has been grinding them together. Today is day two. It's not in his sleep but while he is up and playing. We look at him and tell him no, it's not good for his teeth, we have handed him a toy while he is doing it, but it only distracts him for a few mins. Is/has your LO done this? Has it lasted or was it just a phase? TIA

My LO does this. It goes in spurts. She seemed to start when she was getting a new tooth. I haven't heard it in a couple of days but I feel like my ears are gonna bleed when she does it.

Keaton does this too but like the pp said it goes in spurts. He hasn't done it in a week or so but when he does it is like nails on a chalkboard. I CAN'T STAND IT!!! I don't have any advice for you because everything I have tried has failed Indifferent

unfortunately my daughter does this too. She's been doing it for about a month already and doesn't seem to be stopping. I asked her dr about it when it first started and she said it's usually just a phase (getting used to new teeth)...i'm not sure if that's true in our case - her dad is also grinds his teeth :-(
