Does anybody else have this?

I haven't noticed any stretch marks yet, however I have this dark vertical line that's about 3/4 inch in width from my belly button down to my pelvic bone region. Does anybody else have this marker? I cant help but wonder/hope it will go away. I've had it for quite awhile now.

    Are you referring to the linea nigra, because a lot of women get that and it does go away :)

    I guess I am! I had no idea it has a name! So glad to hear it goes away eventually! Thanks

    Most women get the linea nigra when pregnant, some more noticable that others and it often depends on skin pigmentation.

    There's an OWT that says if it goes up past your belly button you will have a boy, and if it stops below your belly button you will have a girl. So far this is the only OWT that has proven true for me, because mine goes all the way to my ribs and I've got a little boy cooking in there!

    Yes, it is not very pretty but it will go away. Those dang hormones!

    Just a warning, mine stayed for the whole time I nursed my son (a year,) before finally deciding to leave :)  So if you're planning on BFing it may be around just a tad longer.

    Good to know! I wasn't sure if it was ever going to go away, so I think I can handle that! :-)
