Please recommend your outdoor play set/swing set

We move into our new house next week, and MIL offered to buy us a wooden play set for the back yard as a house warming gift.  We've been eyeing one at Costco (though it's only in the warehouse and not on the website), and think the girls will love it, but want to see if there are any other great ones out there that we haven't seen.  The one at Costco is $1000, so we'd like to keep it at $1000 or below.  TIA!

ETA:  We realize assembly will cost extra, so the $1000 price is before installation.

  • We just got this one from Sam's Club. We love it. It's absolutely perfect for us, and it's something even DD1 will be able to use for years more. DH put it together with minimal help from me. It's $1,350.

The one they have in stores is a smaller version and right around $1k.

  • So, I went and looked at the Costco one again and it requires 600sq ft of play area, which our yard has, but we really don't want to take up that much space with a huge swing set.  I'm now looking for smaller ones, if they exist.  We have 1/3 acre (which is a lot for this area), but nearly half of it is the front yard, so the back yard really isn't that large, and already has a deck and shed taking up space.  Ideas for smaller sets?

  • We recently purchased this set for our kids, ages 4 and 2. We love it. Has a great variety of stuff on it, and we as well didn't want something too huge it expensive. Can't beat it for the price.
