while baby sleeps... quick birth story...

Hi all,

Been so busy with baby T...can't believe he's 4 days old already....Especially because I was due on the 11th...

Anyway, here's the reader's digest version of his birth...

I was already 2cm dialated at my prenatal check the day before. The next day, I was experiencing contractions early in the morning at 12-15min apart until it got to the point where I left for the hospital at 5min apart. However, when I was assessed when I got there I was already at 3-4 min...They offered me an epi right away as I was already in active labor and a lot of pain. I wanted to try med free, but am so glad I didn't as my contractions lasted 4 minutes long and were right on top of each other...Long story short, my contractions put baby in distress and the team realized that the baby's cord was wrapped around his neck and shoulders. It was a very scary experience. I pushed for an hour when they realized that he would not be able to be delivered without and perineum cut or episiotomy after the intervention, he was out in 2 pushes... and a happy healthy boy!
