Labor buddy ? from Oct. mom

I saw a bunch of you have labor buddies. I was just wondering how you decided who would be your labor buddy. Did one person assign them or did you all choose your own? TIA!

    For the most part, anyone who wanted a labor buddy responded to a post saying we were interested and then one of the August mamas (C_Mo) assigned us a buddy.

    A Labor Buddy is supposed to be someone who you can private message/chat with and keep them updated on your pregnancy. When you go into labor/give birth, they update the ladies on your BMB to let them know your progress/if you had the baby yet/etc. The only hard part about it is that some (mine) don't respond to your private messages so you get assigned a labor buddy who isn't interested in being one. Overall it's a cute idea though!
