Induction date scheduled!

Went to the doctors today hoping maybe I was at least 1 cm dilated and I am not at all ! He scheduled my induction for the 12th if I am still not dilated and if I am then I will go in on the 13th. What do I expect for an induction?

    They started me on cervidil (sp?) to soften the cervix (I believe) and it's like a tampon thing they stick inside for 12 hours.  It didn't work the first time, so they actually did it again (another 12 hours).  After that, my contractions actually started on their own, but slowly so they gave me pitocin (sp?) to get them to come stronger and harder.  They will keep upping the dosage I believe and then hopefully you hit 9cm and can push! :)  Oh and somewhere after the pitocin you can get medicine or an epidural for pain management if you wish. 

    Edit: I was induced at 37 weeks due to pre-e so they may skip the first step they did with me since my body was no where near ready.

    I'm 41w1d & being induced tomorrow (w/ the cervix softening tonight). The process is as PP said.
