I was wondering is it absolutely required that you send out birth announcements? Or is it more of a 'you can if you have the extra money but not required'? And if it is something that you are supposed to do how far after the birth are you supposed to send them?
I am STM but didnt with my first...purely because I wasnt financially able...and a smaller but more significant side I had no real family to send it to

*shrugs* Little Prince is the pregnancy/birth that I fully embraced from conception....just...i dont know...overwhelmed? Dont know really know how to express it....with my daughter was so much anger and shame...showing a bit of happiness seemed like a betrayal almost....so now I am trying to obviously do too much
we never send out birth announcments. Have you thought of even a cute email - with a picture? this is easy and cheap. now you can do things like hallmark online greeting cards- where you send them an Announcement that way.
What a great idea! I don't have a strong feeling either way about birth announcements. I'll probably do them but won't get too upset if I don't. Thank you notes are another story so of I was going to skip one, I'd skip the announcements.
