EWCM question

How many days do you typically have EWCM? I have had it for 5 days and I feel like its never been that long before. Unfortunately I can't compare it with my chart because I stopped tempting last week, I caught an awful virus from my daughter and was in bed with a very high fever for several days. Between that and not sleeping well I kind of felt like the chart was a bust and since I'm not actively TTC and just getting to know my body better I would let it go this month. Based on previous cycles, my fertile window was at the end of the illness (I know that is not accurate and could very well be off, it's just that past cycles are all I have to go off of right now). Does EWCM happen before, during, or after O? And is 5 days a long time to have it? Is it possible it is because I was sick? I apologize if this is a dumb question :)

    I think this varies woman to woman. If I'm lucky, I get one day of EWCM. And that's only after slamming tons of water from CD1. I tried the green tea thing and it didn't work for me.  When I do get EWCM it's either the day before or day of O. I have an abundance of watery though.

    I agree with PP, it seems to vary woman to woman, but mine also varies cycle to cycle.  Some cycles I have it for a few days before O and sometimes I have very little.  I've never noticed it after O though, it seems to go back to creamy or dry pretty quickly.  I would bet that illness could affect it too.

    Thank you- that is helpful because itsnot typically after O that means my cycle may be longer this month since I am still having it. Of course my illness may have just screwed everything up! This is all so confusing! Lol. Thanks!

    I typically get EWCM for 3-5 days, that's just my normal. Good luck!

Med. Cycle #2: 6 cysts found. No meds/rest cycle. Trying on our own = BFP # 5! Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 129 Beta #3 = 94 - CP - July 2, 2013. BFP # 6! Beta#1 = 21, Beta#2 =58 Beta#3 = 134. U/S shows heartbeat of 142 at 7w2d!

    I usually have it for two or three days overlapping O. This cycle, though, I only had one little bit of it on one day. And I hydrate a lot! Weird. My body is constantly surprising me with new and exciting curve balls...

    How many days do you typically have EWCM? During my FW, I usually have a couple days of watery CM, followed by a couple days of EWCM, followed by a day or two of watery CM.  So I usually only have a 2 or 3 days of EWCM, but up to a week of fertile CM.

    Does EWCM happen before, during, or after O? I've only had it before O, but you can have it anytime in your cycle.

    And is 5 days a long time to have it? Not really, I've had a week of fertile CM before (some watery and some EWCM).

    Is it possible it is because I was sick? I have no clue

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    You are probably producing a lot of EWCM because your body is gearing up to O but isn't yet because you have been sick. That is pretty common. Your EWCM will dry up after you O because the hormones released by the egg are the same ones that make your CM dry up. (I usually start getting EWCM again a day or two before AF.)
