Actually I am not the only one and there isn't anything wrong with me standing up for myself. I understand there are women on here that have been through a lot but so have I. I bet I have been through a hell of a lot more than most of you and I could teach you a few things about life, faith, and a few other things. And if I want to post something that I have found, either read it and listen or go somewhere else. If you don't know where to go, I will gladly tell you. I am not a newbie, just new to this site and they are almost similar - it's just this one is full of horney bitches that can't get knocked up. Mean, probably, but well deserved to some!
Really? Wow, you really went there didn't you?
It's one thing to stand up for yourself, but it's entirely another thing to ask for support/advice and then give a low, classless blow to the very same people you claim you want it from in the first place.
I am done with getting the advice now. This website has become personal.
Are you planning on taking out a "hit" on some of the ladies of this board? Calm down, honeybadger.
Believe it or not, which I am sure you won't - I am a very friendly person but just like many of you, I am very sensitive when it comes to baby talk. Like some of you I am sure, I have lost a child and I don't have much family left. I have lost my dad, a sister, and grew up in an abusive household. I have lived homeless and lost my virginity at 6 years old. I know it's TMI but I have literally been through hell and back and I hold what little pride I have left very dear to me. My "helpful" messages weren't to be taken the way they were read. It was truly an act of kindness. Instead of others responding ignorantly, maybe you should have taken the time to get to know me. It would have costed you a lot less time to learn me than it is for me to go through pages and pages and pages of messages to learn all of you. That comes over time. Now I am just sticking around because so many people want me gone!
I'm sorry you've been through such rough stuff in your life. But that doesn't give you the right to come onto a board of strangers and proceed to insult them/us in the process. Here's a tip. Come up with a new screen name, lurk, intro yourself if you want, and learn how this board works. You'll find that you learn a lot from it and that the women here can be very supportive. But when you come into a group of people you don't know, spouting some new method, that doesn't really work anyway, as "advise", it doesn't go over so well. If you want any chance of getting the support you claim to be seeking, go away and come back as someone new, and nice.

Uh, yeah. You made it that way.
No I didn't - I was reaching out to those that said offending things expecting some peace or understanding. Instead I got a bunch of mouth even on another post I was trying to help someone with. I wasn't going to continue to give advice if all I was going to see was negative comments.
Well thanks for telling us about the Shettles method . . we got it.
And if you are using a callendar to tell you when you ovulate please don't "help" us anyore with any of your "advice."
Well, there is always ovulation before a period and when you ovulate is key to getting pregnant. So, it is very important to know when you are ovulating. As long as you know your cycle, you can easily use the calendar to tell you when your cycles are. Maybe you don't know how to read the calendar......

So, because this is a public site, I am not going to say what I really feel to those who were ignorant. However, I do feel better I got a little bit of what I want to say off my chest.

It's worked for me both times.
If you know so much, why are you here to begin with? Obviously your messages are more offending than mine. If you are looking to really impress someone, why not post your medical degree.....

Why is that ironic, do you have one?
If so, I think you need to sue your school. Or atleast go back and finish it to include communication skills.

Yeah. Nothing personal about any of that.
If you are going to do it, do it right and copy the posts that other people have said to me that are negative.
Nobody said anything nearly as bad to you as calling us horny bitches that can't get knocked up. In fact, nobody was really mean to you until you said that.
YOU started a thread to whine about how you didn't like how people responded to your other thread (which, as it's been mentioned) contained something that the majority of us already know about.
Then YOU started saying that you were going to post whatever you wanted anyway, but got all butthurt when people didn't respond the way you wanted them to.
People were trying to give you a tip about how these boards work to save you from making an ass of yourself, which you managed to do anyway when you basically started telling us we were dumb and then called us horny bitches who can't get pregnant.
And I was responding to YOUR claim that YOU hadn't said anything personal, so no, I'm not going to include anyone else's post.

Irregular periods are very difficult. Honestly, I have a 34 day cycle and the calendar works for me. Here is what I do. I start the calendar at 28 days and write the dates down that says I am fertile. Then I start another calendar at 34 days so I have a nice range of time. Then, we have intercourse every other day during the entire time calculated and I got pregnant every time.
For example, this month I started with 28 days and I got 6/10 to 6/15. At 34 days, it is 6/16 to 6/21. So, we will have intercourse every other day starting 6/10 to 6/21.

Um, if you had read the newbie link, it would tell you to read TCOYF. Which most women here have. Included in that book is the Shettles Method. Most women on this board already know about this "tip."

What's ironic is that you are calling these ladies amatuers. When, in reality, they are trying to point out to you that using an ovulation calendar is not an accurate or efficient way of calculating your fertile time. Yes, they know ovulation comes before (and then after) a period, but these women track their bbt to get accurate data on ovulation, not some guestimate on an ovulation calculator. But, that seems to be flying over your head.
Since I am KU, maybe you will listen to me as a credible source, because, according to your previous response, a woman who is still trying to get pregnant must not understand how it works.

Very nice person = calling others horny b!tches and saying that they deserved to not be pregnant. Yeah, that sounds right.
Advice is not an act of kindness when it is insensitive and uneducated.

Wow. It's like typing to a brick wall. The amount of stupid and suck that is in this one thread would usually result in a DD but I am not even sure that OP would be able to figure out how to do it. OP is just an attention whore. I guess in this case, ignorance really is bliss.

Seriously? For someone who claims to be so knowledgeable about TTC, you obviously don't know that your chance of conceiving each cycle, even if you time everything perfectly, is like 1 in 5.
So you really need to stop acting like we're too stupid to get pregnant, because that's really not the case.
I will get back later, with my BFP. Simply because, I know what I am doing! Again, you know so much using big bad words - where's your BFP???????
You do understand that understanding how to get pg =/= getting pregnant. There is only 20% chance each month.
Because, if simply understanding how = pregnancy then that lovely lady (whose post about pursuing adoption and you pulled out that asshat comment "adopt and you'll get pregnant like my friend") and many, many other women on this board would have been KU long ago.
Actually I am not the only one and there isn't anything wrong with me standing up for myself. I understand there are women on here that have been through a lot but so have I. It's advice, not advise. They aren't ameatures. They aren't amateurs either.
This is all your fault. You walked into a room of strangers and said "Look at me and how much I know!" and then proceeded to insult everyone who didn't take your advice. Far be it from us to "dot every I and cross every T" but paying attention to details, like using BBTs instead of random ovulation calendars, is what helps people get pregnant when they are having difficulty in doing so. If you don't like it, I suggest you find another board. BabyGaga perhaps?
So what you are saying is that because you have been pregnant, you are an expert and the rest of us who have researched and talked to trained medical professionals etc., are amateurs.
So since I can bake a cake, does that make me an expert baker? I think you should really take the time to listen to the ladies here. Most of them have done their research.
FYI there are many theories on how to have a boy or girl. Shettles, Ericsson, Whelan, methods to name a few. If you read them they often offer up contradictory information.

Nope, I like this one And I guess the reason that I "think I know it all' is because I have never had trouble getting pregnant. Every time I have tried I have gotten pregnant. I also have endometriosis so that narrows my odds more so than others. And I read the newbie forum. It did have some helpful information on there, lots I didn't know, but I have always relied on the calendars and they have worked for me. So because others find them useless I am not allowed to recommend them?????? AND I am not allowed to share a story to give a very honorable woman some hope???? I have no doubt she would be a great mother and I don't even know her. Obviously she cares and is dedicated if she is considering adoption.

I didn't have any trouble getting pg with my first child either. Neither do lots of teen parents. Doesn't mean either of us know it all. It's not just because others find them useless that you shouldn't recommend them. It's that it's bad advice.

It's very true. 15 seems to be the magical age for ladies in my H's family.
I will get back later, with my BFP. Simply because, I know what I am doing! Again, you know so much using big bad words - where's your BFP???????
You do understand that understanding how to get pg =/= getting pregnant. There is only 20% chance each month.
Because, if simply understanding how = pregnancy then that lovely lady (whose post about pursuing adoption and you pulled out that asshat comment "adopt and you'll get pregnant like my friend") and many, many other women on this board would have been KU long ago.
exactly.

And bet I will be there waving with just one finger laughing my ass off because you will still be here. Maybe then you will come back and apologize for saying I don't know what I am doing. And tell your DH if he wants a baby that bad to call me, it's about time he connects with a real woman.
Don't hate me because I can have a baby faster than you! And doing it by only looking at a calendar you hate so much!

While the bolded is off the topic of this thread, I am highlighting it to point out that you continue to miss the point. The creator of that thread responded to you and said she wasn't looking for your hope (or validation or story or cliche response). She has come to peace with her decision and wasn't looking for you to tell her she could still get pregnant. Even when she spelled it out for you, you still missed the point, just as is happening in many places in this post.

I have to admit though, you are right. I have gone back through and read the things myself and others have said and it is quite funny. I have been tempted to keep it going after the one post just because it is like the most popular thread. I am not even mad anymore, I find this whole thing hilarious. It sounds sick, I know, but it is funny. So far, I have read back and everyone is very knowledgeable. They know a lot more about conceiving with trouble than I do. I am learning a lot just reading what others have had to go through and I do see now what everyone meant about being selfish in those messages. I didn't mean to hurt anyone so I do sincerely apolgoize if I hurt anyone's feelings. I see what you mean now and won't mention anymore about the calendars.

Re: Need a little time to vent...
Well, there is always ovulation before a period and when you ovulate is key to getting pregnant. So, it is very important to know when you are ovulating. As long as you know your cycle, you can easily use the calendar to tell you when your cycles are. Maybe you don't know how to read the calendar......
Calendars only work if you have a 28 day cycle. How does the calendar tell you when you are ovulating if you don't have regular cycles?? I know my cycle, and it's irregular as hell!
No, I am not joining back on to be someone I am not. I am a very nice person and have done a lot of good in my life. I have just never come across people that read every dot in the I and every cross in the T. They take advise as a form of kindness. Maybe this is all my fault - I shouldn't have joined a forum with a bunch of ameatures.
BWAHAHAHAAHA. My IQ just dropped 10 points in the time I read this post. Here's a term for you to google = anovulatory.

I will get back later, with my BFP. Simply because, I know what I am doing! Again, you know so much using big bad words - where's your BFP???????

It makes me want to barf.

11/26/2013 Surprise!!! BFP!

I am so looking forward to my BFP. Then we shall see who the expert is. Then you will finally see me gone - don't worry it won't take but a few more weeks.
You know what, OP? At first, I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. We get a lot of newbs in here who say things thinking they're being helpful.
Then I started to think you were crazy. You were contradicting yourself, spouting all sorts of crap, making rude comments. But still, I figured maybe you were hormonal or overly sensitive.
But now I can see you're just a b!tch.
ETA:
Just because of my first pregnancy. Just wanted some support in case I had another ectopic.
I may be a *** but at least I am worth something.
This might be the best thread and comment ever. I hope you come back every night so we can piss you off more. If for no other useful purpose, you are at least comic relief.

Well after the way you've conducted yourself in this thread, I highly doubt you're going to find any here.
And how many kids do you have now?
Didn't want to go there, but it seems that b!tch is the only language you understand. You're a piece of work.
