IM GOING BACKWARDS ***BEING PUT ON THE PILL***

Hey Ladies quick question: Have any of you been placed on the pill to regulate your hormones and if so how successful was it.  My cycle day 3 baseline u/s and bloodwork today showed crazy estrogen at 183.... too high, so much so that Doc wants me on the pill for three weeks to try and regulate my hormones before i can do any other injectable medication.  This is some roller coaster I swear :(

    Most people get put on the pill before an IVF cycle.

    IUI#3 - Jan 6 IVF#1 -5/18 - stims start (225 gonal f, 75 menopur, 5 lupron) ER 5/29 - 14R, 11M, 7F. 6/1 - Transferred 2 8cell embryos (grade 1 and 2). 8dp3dt +HPT, Beta#1 - 92, Beta #2 - 174, Beta#3 - 614, Beta#4 - 2010. 6wk u/s - TWINS! Baby A 114bpm, Baby B 112 bpm Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I was just on active pills for 5 weeks straight. Nothing out of the ordinary.

    I thought it was pretty ironic that the first time using bcp was when I was trying to get pregnant, but it's normal for IVF.  Not only does it help suppress the ovaries, but it's also used so RE can dictate the timing of your IVF.  I was on bcp for 5 wks leading up to my first IVF.  I was cancelled on day 6 of stims due to a lead follie and high estrogen levels.  I'm now on another 5 wks of bcp, but RE is adding in Lupron during the last two weeks to help suppress my ovaries even more.

    TTC since Oct 08. DH Dx w/testicular cancer March 09.
    MFI due to retrograde ejaculation/azoospermia.
    5/2 IVF #1 cancelled due to large follie.
    6/14 start Lupron for IVF #1.2. 6/22 start stims.
    7/4 ER and Biopsy.
    7/9 Transferred 2 (1-4BB and 1-3BB) embryos.  4 frosties.
    7/15 +HPT 6dp5dt. 7/18 Beta #1: 193. 7/20 Beta #2: 415.
    8/10 1st u/s - It's triplets!

    nothing to yell about. BCP are common for a lot of reasons.

    I did the pill for about a month before my IVF cycle.
    Married 6/08, TTC 7/09
    MC w/ D&C 3/11 ~ 9.5 weeks
    CP/MC 1/12 ~ 5 weeks
    2 IUI's w/ BFN
    IVF 6/12 ~ 8R, 0F ~ Rescue ISCI gave us 3dt of 2 (6 cell, 9+ cell)
    DS born ~ 3/3/13
    IVF 6/14 ~ Operation Sibling ~ 10R, 5F ~ 5dt of 1 Blast
    Beta 1: 1600+, Beta 2: 4588

    I just started BCPs too for a July IVF cycle.

    TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

    FET 4/28/2015 - Transferred 1 M embie. 5/6/15 BFP!

    i was on the pill for 3 weeks. half of that time was spent with lupron shots as well.

    MFI due to testicular cancer (but he's a champ!)
    IVF with ICSI thanks to TESE
    6/5/12 WE'RE PREGNANT!

    I haven't had to do it, but my RE did mention that I might need to take BCP is my estrogen gets too high. I think it's a pretty common treatment.
