Got to see her!!!

So after the world's longest OB appointment, I finally got to see my baby girl, today! I went to my normal, scheduled appointment. As we all know, babies decide appointments and such can't wait for them, they are more important. My doctor had an emergency c-section to attend to, so I couldn't see her today. So,  I was asked if it was ok to see one of the other doctors. I was fine with that, nothing much going on today but my Rh shot today. They put me in another room and I waited for about 30 minutes. I was getting quite restless, especially knowing I was given to another doc to see, thinking, she may have overlooked seeing me. Another doctor came in and saw me. As confusing as it was, the doctor I was "passed" to was asked by my doctor to help her in the c-section. So...anyways, I told him I was a little disappointed to not see my doctor because I was going to ask to see if she could do the ultrasound since I hadn't seen my little girl since 18 weeks. He pretty much ran out of the room just to get the machine so I could see her! I was so excited! Her head is up on top, by my ribs, her bum on my left side, and legs and arms kicking towards the right side (for now...) She had the hiccups and she was aggressive! She punched the doctor's ultrasound probe! He laughed about that.

Oh I am so excited I got to see her...I can't wait for the next 10 weeks to go by...

    Do they actually do that?  Give an u/s just because you want to see baby?  I haven't seen her since the a/s because I am having a 'normal' pregnancy...Kinda bummed, because I'd like to see her again, but not have to pay for it OOP.

    My doctor and a couple other doctors in the office pitched in together and bought a portable ultrasound machine so they can bring it into the room and check things out quickly. It's not a separate appointment for a US. They don't print pictures or anything...it's pretty basic and a smaller screen. But...it works! And I love the flexibility of the doctors at this office. LOVE!

    I LOVE ultrasound days,  I feel so relieved and amazed at the same time. :)

    that's so cool! My doc said we'll have another ultrasound towards the end. He wasn't very specific as to when but I figure with only 9 weeks to go it'll have to happen at some point soon :)
