Bottle fed baby forgets how to suck?

Hey girls,

I think my LO has forgotten how to suck a bottle (He's 5 weeks, and has taken a bottle since birth).  At first, he was a CHAMPION sucker...now it takes at LEAST an hour for him to finish a bottle.  His latch is never right, as I can hear and feel air going into his belly, and I can easily remove the bottle from his mouth without any resistance.  I've tried every type of bottle and nipple I can think of, but nothing seems to help.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Try having him suck on your finger first to get him to suck... Also, make sure the nipple is above the tongue. When they forget to suck... rotate the bottle in their mouth so they remember its there.

    I have to do all of this for my LO and it works... IT takes awhile to get through the bottle but she eventually finishes.

    Could the nipple not be letting enough out? Perhaps he isn't getting enough reward to suck.
