I am 17 weeks prego and started getting sick a few days ago and by today I have chills, fever, body aches, cough, sore throat. I feel like total CRAP. When should I contact my OB? How high of a fever is too high etc?
Yes...that's what made me pee on a stick, actually. It turns out that it was just the flu. My DH and DD got it the next day. My doc said to come in if the temp is higher than 104.

Yes I have had it twice but I never really had a bad fever with mine. I called my midwife the first time and she said it was ok for me to take pretty much any over the counter cold medicine. But I would contact your OB and ask what they recommend.
I had the 24 hr flu bug twice since the beginning of the year, it was God awful. And I didn't know I was pregnant at the time either. I would let your OB know what's going on and see what else there is you could do or take. Hope you feel better!
I had the flu a couple weeks ago. Fever of 102. It was horrible. My dr. office said to take tylenol to keep the fever down, drink plenty of liquids, and rest. If the fever gets too high, I think over 103, you should go to the hospital. Feel better! The flu sucks!

I had the stomach flu at 14 weeks, just after getting over MS. It sucked. My OB sent me to the ER for dehydration. I think it wouldn't hurt to call them, but I don't think there will be too much they can do for those symptoms. Not sure! GL!
My H got us all sick around Easter, he had a temperature of 103 so when I started getting sick and my temp went up to 101 I called my OB and got in right away, I didn't want my temperature to spike too high. I would call your Dr and ask them what they think, they could get you in to make sure you don't have a high fever and maybe get some antibiotics.

My doctor recommended contacting them for ANY fever over 100.4 They suggested to try to lower it with Tylenol tepid bath and/or shower and cool liquids. If you can't get it down I would at least call the triage line.
Seriously though I had the swine flu with pneumonia last year and barely survived. Definitely get a flu shot!
And if you feel crappy go to the doctor. I don't mess around with flu signs. I'd call your OB right now. You may need meds or IV fluids. Last time I had a fever and sore throat I was so dehydrated I need a day of IV fluids.
Re: has anyone else had the flu while prego?
No but I had the flu while bacon-o
(sorry, hate the term prego)
