Show me your kitchens!!

My husband and I have been renovating our house that we bought nearly 3 years ago.  We got this house beyond inexpensively bc the owner was an old man that needed to live by his family and sold it to be done with it.  Its over 100 yrs old so we are trying to make modern updates without losing its character.  It still has the original hardwood flooring and dark wood molding.  Anyways---we are now working on our kitchen.  We are re-doing walls to dry wall them (prev. plaster).  Our ceiling we are leaning towards putting in those vintage tin tiles and painting them white potentially?  I am looking for color scheme suggestions to paint cabinetry and pick out new floors and wall color. 

We are planning to sell our house as soon as our major work is done.  In relation to the ceiling tiles, what are your thoughts?  I personally love them, bc i love vintage oh so much, but i am thinking that dry wall may appeal better to buyers.  Show me pics of what you've done!!  I need ideas!!

    This is a pic of our kitchen when I house was on the MLS.  All the crappy urn and hanging wall crap below to the previous owner.  But we havent changed anything since we moved in (appliances, cabinets, counter tops).

    Well, out kitchen sucks, so this won't help much... but here you go!

    ETA: We just got a new oven (white), and therefore want a new countertop because it's too much white/beige.  I would love SS appliances, but I don't want to replace everything.  Also, the dishwasher is now white and black (much more white than black).  The front is reversible and I reversed it when we got the new oven.

    If we get a new counter it'll be similar in color to the floor most likely.  

    And, FWIW, I LOVE tin ceilings!

    We do not have SS appliances, they are white.  I want to paint our cabinets this dark olive color and do everything else in cream accents and i would add chrome or brushed nickel hardware for cabinets.
