I am sick...so hard to stay away from the NICU

...I am having a pity party for myself today. I have a bad cold and ear infection so have not been able to go in to see my son in two very long days. I haven't held him in six days. I thought I just had allergies but stayed away from him to be safe until I started getting worse and realized it is not allergies. This is so hard! I know this sounds selfish bc it isn't about me, but I am afraid he won't know whoo am when I go back....or that he wonders where I am ( do they even do that at this point? He is almost 33 weeks GA...almost a month old). Ugh. Thanks for letting me whine for a bit.

    Huge hugs, I know that must be very rough!  I have heard of moms in your situation recording themselves talking, maybe reading a story, and having the nurses play it for the baby a few times a day.  Maybe doing something like that would make you feel better?  Praying you feel better soon!
