I already mentioned it, but it's official: DH and I reviewed DD1's amended IEP last night for her transition to an integrated mainstream classroom, and I signed off on it this morning. It's more than a little nervewracking, but I know this is the direction she needs in order to be challenged. I didn't expect us to be making this move so soon, and I'm incredibly proud of her progress.
And something just randomly cool: my parents were in town this past weekend, and my mom surprised me with a huge box of the Breyer horses I played with when I was a little girl. I loved those things, I spent hours playing with them, and they'd gotten lost over the years. Well, she found almost 20 of them in the attic, cleaned them up, and my girls were THRILLED to have them. Most of them are still in great shape, and considering that similar ones are $30-$40 apiece, it's a pretty awesome addition to our toys. Plus the whole nostalgia factor!
Ds#2 stood up by himself (from the floor) the other day too! I stood there and watched him and was SO excited!
Also, we went to the spray park yesterday and he was running around from water spray to water spray like any other typical kid. It was so fun to watch him :-) he didn't even get upset when he fell.

DS tinkled on the potty for the first time tonight!! I just sat him on there when he got home from school, thinking he might need to have a BM. I thought, why not see if he will do it on the potty? We talked and goofed around for a few minutes and when I helped him get off the potty there was 1/4 cup of tinkle!!

I think DS can jump now! He laughs and jumps at the same time while we were throwing balls and kicking them around in his room.
I think he might be ready for soccer next year.
These are great!
Lately I've noticed a big increase in DS's pretend play / dramatic play. This is an area he struggles in and I'm thrilled to see an improvement.
