what do you mean by nasties? We have a countertop table, so once we wanted DS1 to sit at teh table with us instead of slightly lower in his high chair, we used a travel high chair like this. We attach it to a chair, and buckled him in. It was easy to clean, and put a towel under it to protect the chair. I see them at garage sales all the time, or on CL around here. I got one to leave at my dads that way.
