TTC After a Loss

oh the pain....

Around noon today I was bent over in pain. Not a good thing when you have a class of 18, 1st graders. However I am so lucky to have an amazing group of girls I work with they took my students and I went ans laid down in the clinic.

When I had a moment I went and called the doctor.  I explained to the nurse that about 2 weeks ago I thought I had started my period but it only lasted two day and now Im having EXTREME cramps. She said she would call the doctor and get back to me. Well she calls back and tells me that they think it could be ovulation pain even with some spotting. That sounded odd to me but thats what she said.

Well I came home and curled up and it looks like Ive really started my period. Im guessing the bleeding from two weeks ago was just the rest of the bleeding from the m/c. Anyway it HURTS!! Worst cramps I have ever had.

So I guess I need to give them a call back tomorrow, I am supposed to go in for some testing on CD21, however I dont know when to start counting from.

Has this happened to anyone, when did you start counting CD1.

Thanks for any input.

Re: oh the pain....

  • I am so sorry!  Well, if you have full flow, I would count that as CD1.

Do you track your ovulation in anyway?  CD21 blood work is fine if you do in fact O on CD14.  But, if you don't O until say, CD19-21 like me, then CD 21 b/w is useless.

I hope you get to feeling better!

  • I am currently not tracking anything. Everything has been to all over the place for me to even have a clear place to start.  My doctor explained that he is going to test on CD21 then I am to call him on my next CD1 so i guess he can determine where the numbers were and where there supposed to be.  I guess then I should count today as CD1.
  • I don't know what to say about charting, though sounds like CD1.  For the cramps, try alternating advil and tylenol so that halfway b/w each advil dose, you take a tylenol.  That is my gyn's rec for bad menstrual cramps.  If that doesn't offer enough relief, you can ask your doc for something stronger.  (If I'm not on BCP's, I need 1 percocet on CD1 to get through the day.)

This. Im sorry your day was bad! I don't know about anyone else but I don't think I have ever had severe ovulation pains like that! I would count today as CD 1 as well.
