BCP question

OK, I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous, but I haven't been on BCP since 2009's IVF cycle and I just don't remember...

I am spotting and I have active pills left until Thursday. I shouldn't start until atleast Thursday, right? And since I am supposed to start my new pack on cd2, what happens if I still have active pills from the last pack?

Re: BCP question

  • I think that spotting is normal when you start taking bcp again.  I would finish the active pills and then you'll probably get a full AF, but if your spotting turns into AF I'd call the clinic to find out what their thoughts are.

Good Luck, I hope AF waits as she's supposed to!

  • It is normal to have some spotting on active pills. I have been for about a week now because I am on 6 weeks of active pills. I do not think you will get AF until you stop BCP.
