Atlanta Midwife Suggestions????

Hello,

 I am five weeks pregnant today and my husband and I are searching for a midwife to have a homebirth in January when we are due. Does anyone have any good reviews for a midwife? We live in Vinings/Smyrna area in Cobb County, so someone semi-close to the area would be even better.

    Not sure about homebirths, but Intown Midwifery is fabulous. Can't say enough good things about them. They might be able to point you in a direction, though.

    I second Intown Midwifery if you are willing to go with a practice. They are awesome.

    I have heard good things about Brenda Parrish. I would also check out the mothering dot com boards.

    I thought that homebirths were illegal in GA??     The woman who taught our natural birthing class had a homebirth and used a midwife out of Chattanooga for that reason.   My brief google search indicates that maybe that's not the case anymore.... 

    Anywho, AtlantaMommas dot com has a natural living board where you could post if you don't get the info you need here.  There are also home birth meet ups on meet up dot com. 

     Intown Midwifery or Atlanta Midwifery both specialize in natural births and offer water births but in a hospital setting.
