Oh, I just thought of one thanks to ajc's CP. I hate hate hate it when people use the term "little mama" as a nickname for baby girls. The L&D nurse called LO that when she was born and it drove me nuts.

I thought I was the only one that hated that term.

I also hate tea, sweet tea, unsweet tea all of it I can't even stand the smell makes me want to throw up. Coffee is just as bad, I hate it in ice cream, or any other kind of deserts also. I'm another one who hate alcohol, I don't drink at all it all taste like someone is pouring rubbing alcohol down my throat. I also don't drink caffeinated pop.

  • I'm making strawberry short cake for DS's cake.  Heavy on the whipped cream and strawberries.  I get to choose and it is a favorite in the house.

I find that frosting tickles my mouth and hurts my teeth and I'm not good at making it.  I guess that's my UO.

I am also not a tea fan.  Nor do I like coffee flavored anything.  Although...i can handle a really good tiramisu!

I find it hilarious that mammabear felt the need to clarify that there would be no booze! lol

My UO: I think far too many people have kids when they can't afford them. It's one thing if ish happens and money you expected to be there, isn't. Or if you and your partner/spouse aren't together anymore so you're not a dual income. I get those situations. I'm talking about people who are already scraping by, barely making enough to sustain themselves, and then they get pregnant. On purpose. It's just bizarre to me. And then it angers me if they then ask for a handout. How about no? You gave up your right to handout when you got knocked up knowing you could not afford this child.

    I completely agree.

LOL I gotta draw the line somewhere!  I'm also the type of person who will say something like "they can have whatever they want" and I'll get the ONE person who goes "oh, so if they are offering beer, can your kid have that too?"  These are just the people I have to deal with on a daily basis Stick out tongue

I also agree with your UO (which I don't think is very unpopular unless you are a person that feels they are entitled to reproduce even if they don't have the money to support themselves), and along the same lines I can't stand people who say "OMG, I don't know how I'm going to pay our bills, get handouts from their parents/friends/etc and then show up with a new car (can you tell that was directed at someone?!)

Haha love this. I was going to go on my own rant about this but, seriously my SIL is exactly both of these. Got pregnant because DH and I did first and also couldn't afford it, but somehow(got grandma to co-sign) for a new car. And also get there bills paid by the IL's as well as the grandma I'm sure.

Neither my husband or I drink coffee.  We own a coffee pot, but that is because the rest of our family drinks coffee and we have some for them when they come over.

Us too! I'll drink a latte or mocha or something flavored if I happen to feel like it while I'm out shopping or something, but I don't drink regular coffee and I think it tastes like crap.

Meh, I think whatever kind of cake you want to give your LO is fine.  They don't know the difference, and I don't think it's robbing them of childhood or anything.  Evelyn had a banana cake w/o added sugar with real cream cheese frosting w/butter and sugar.  So a compromise, I guess. :)

As usual, I agree with you :) I'm making LO a strawberry shortcake (like PP!) with less sugar than the recipe calls for and lightly sweetened whipped cream. But, that's just the kind of dessert I like. I'm making a "practice" one for my own birthday cake. If someone wants to go all out in the sugar department, though, I agree- it's just one day. You gotta have a treat every now and again!

I can't drink coffee. This isn't an opinion one way or the other; I just can't for medical reasons. I was sad at first, but now I'm fine with my chai and coke.

I think most of my opinions are unpopular, but I'll try to think of just one. I don't like the color orange.
