Names that go with last name "face/grace/lace"

My last name rhymes with grace/lace/face... you get the idea.  It's is also one syllable.  We are having a terrible time coming up with names.  We're team green for now, but we may find out later.

I have adored the name Ava for years and years, and I think it sounds great with our last name.  However, I must admit that it's recent popularity is a bit of a turn off.  I don't mind names that are somewhat common, but I'd prefer to stay out of the top 10 or 20 if possible.  It's not necessarily a deal breaker though so we may end up with Ava in the end.  As for a boy, we have absolutely no idea.

 I would love suggestions!!

  • If you like Ava, how do you feel about Eva?

Ava/Eva paired with a multiple syllable middle name would sound great with your short lat name.

Same theory for boys names in my opinion.  However, I am not great at coming up with a list to suggest.

I like Eva as well, but my brother actually just named his daughter Eva.  He knows how much I like Ava so he "saved" that for me and went with Eva.  Not a big difference, but I won't change my name preferences just because he went with Eva.  We live far apart so our daughters won't really know each other.  Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thank you!  I really like Elliot.  My husband doesn't think it's a good name for an athlete (this is how he picks names), but I may continue to push it since I disagree.  I also love Lilah.
