1st Trimester

Anyone else discouraged and hate working??

With the nausea and fatigue,, I have been feeling discouraged and I was a little depressed a few weeks ago.

Is there anything I can do that helps me cope. Is it going to go away after 1st trimester??

I seem to be on the bump all day while at work and at home.

I need a motive

  • I feel the same way. I am a supervisor too so that just makes it worse because I want to tell my problem employees. To f-off.....

Me too, even though I run a business from home. It's really hard to get things done.

DH just got a big promotion, so I am hoping in a few months, I will be able to work part-time. I hate to scale back my business that I have worked for 8 years to build, but at the same time, with two kids, it might be necessary.

I have also been feeling the same way. I try really hard to not snap at my bosses or coworkers but I will admit that it has happened. I am hoping that the 2nd trimester will be better. I am sick of feeling sick and tired all the time.

    Absolutely

  • amen! I'm exhausted all the time and work 12 hour shifts. Granted these shifts are spent in a chair on my expanding hiney, but I'm still so tired and worn out. I fall asleep within an hour of getting home. I hope this 1st trimester exhaustion lets up really soon
  • I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy,, I just can't wait for this trimester to be done
  • I primarily work from home so I just wanted to say that all of you who get up in the morning and have to work around other people are amazing.  I know I couldn't do it right now when it takes everything I've got to get dressed.  Hopefully, we'll all get that 2nd Trimester energy burst that I keep reading about.

  • Yes I'm exhausted all day at work---not too moody but just so tired that I have no motivation and its hard to stay focused on work.  Clearly the bump is helping with that! Wink

    So lucky

  • Ditto all of this. Luckily, my employers have offered for me to go part time if I want to. Career-wise, it's not ideal, but it will be better for my health. But I'll still have to survive the days that I'm there. I really hate having to go to bed at 8 because I can't keep my eyes open. My wonderful DH even has to sleep in the guest room often because I'm up so many times a night. Come on 2nd trimester!

  • Work has been ridiculous! I'm a post partum nurse and find myself gagging the whole time I am helping my patients as they throw up following their c-sections. It's torture! The 12 hour shifts on my feet while I'm dizzy and nauseous all the time are so difficult. At least I have a positive aspect to my job that motivates me - the sweet new babies I cuddle everyday - and knowing that I'll be holding my own again in 7-ish months after a year of trying! Yay! Hang in there girls! From my experience with #1, relief is just around the corner!

  • I def. understand.  It's rough to not feel well and have to deal with clients & co-workers.

I just have to keep telling myself the sickness wont last forever.Stick out tongue

  • Yes I'm exhausted all day at work and after work I feel so fatigued it hurts.  I think maternity leave should start now. haha.  I'm hoping 2nd tri will come with a burst of energy.

  • Totally feel what you are saying. Some days I wish you could have 21 months off, cause working pregnant sucks! Especially in the first tri when you are feeling like death and want to ell everyone off and try not to puke while you are at work!
