booo I think I messed up (single girl problems)

The guy I was talking about in NC last night texted me today and we have been chatting back and forth. Well he told me something about one of our mutual friends and asked me not to say anything. I told him that I'm not that type of girl that would do that. this is the rest of our convo:

Him: Thanks, I owe you one.

Me: I'll keep that in mind =P I'm just kidding you don't owe me anything

Him: Anything you want.. name it

Me: Haha that's a loaded question there babe

Him: Whattttttt BABE?

Me: Sorry didn't mean to offend if it did. Sometimes it slips out when I'm talking to a cute guy ;)

no answer yet and it's been a while.. ::sigh:: "Dating" or "Talking" or whatever you want to call it sucks.. I'm terrified of saying the wrong thing all the time lol

    I don't think you messed up in the least.  Babe can be used for friend or lover.
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    I can't imagine how hard it must be.  But I don't think you messed up.  However, if it did scare him or anything then I wouldn't worry to much about it.  If you cannot be yourself now without worrying then you wouldn't be yourself later.  Just take it slowly and be yourself.  If he cannot handle it, he is not worth it!

    Men are strange creatures. They are hard to read. Some get intimidated easily by a woman openly flirting with them. Sounds like this guy may be one of those.

    My strategy in those situations was to be very obtuse, like, ask him if we wants to go have a beer sometime or find something you have in common (oh you are into skydiving too? we should go sometime) or whatever, where, he could read it is flirting, or he could read it as just wanting to hang out as friends. It's sometimes easier to become friends with a guy first and then add the romance later.

    That's my 2 cents anyway. My first marriage was a bust though, so take my relationship advice with a grain of salt! Stick out tongue

    Mine too.. that's why I am here lol. I haven't dated since I was 14 so I have no idea what I am doing most the time. Stick out tongue
