I always thought I would want to know the sex before delivery, but now thinking about it, I think I want to stay team green. Im just not sure I will have the will power not to ask!
My sister stayed team green with both her girls. She said there are very few suprises in life and that it was a great one.
So whats your plan? Team green or no?

Re: Anyone staying team green?
I guess its because babies spend most of their first few weeks in onsies and stuff so you can get really cute neutral colors in those.
After my sisters first girl was born, lots of people (myself included) bought her a ton of girl things.

Im going try to stay green.
We want to know as soon as possible! I would love to have that suprise... but we're neither DH or I have that much patience.
Born via emergency c-section - 8lb, 19.75 in, 100% stubborn BFP Chart
8 cycles of unmedicated trying = BFP!! - EDD 1/10/18

I want to be green! But my husband, my MIL and bffs ALL want to know. I don't need or want to know.
Any ideas on some kind of compromise?
I was just discussing that with the DH and he said he wanted to wait but I don't know if I could wait since this is my first pregnancy. We discussed the option of doing a gender reveal party but we aren't sure quite yet, we will see what happens!
Im confused by this. Would you really be that upset/disappointed if it was a boy that you would need a whole pregnancy to process it?

This was my thought too.
When I say I am just praying for a healthy baby, I really mean it. It actually makes me sick that some people would be that disappointed if they didn't have their gender of choice.

Yup. After almost 2 years of IF, 3 IUI's, 1 IVF, and 2 losses, Im just so grateful to be pregnant at all. Being upset over gender is just beyond my scope of comprehension.

I agree with everything you guys have said. I just want a baby. I don't care if this baby is a boy or girl as long as this is my take home baby.

BFP #3 4/3/14; EDD 12/13/14
We are team green people! LOVED it with DD, and can't wait for the surprise this time, too!
Personally, I feel that births are somehow less exciting when the gender and name has already been shared. BUT, I know some people love that. Evacuee they feel better bonded/more connected.

We're staying Team Green! We found out DS's sex at 20 weeks last time, so this time we want to have the other experience of the "It's a...!" in the delivery room. We are only planning to have 2 children, so it will be fun to experience finding out the sex both ways.
If we are blessed with another boy, he'll be all set as far as hand-me-downs from DS. If we are blessed with a little girl, she'll just have to deal with living in blue or gender-neutral stuff for a few months ;-)
As far as a nursery goes, you really don't need one for the first 6 months or so, especially if you're breastfeeding. It's way more convenient to set up a little pack n' play next to your bed for middle-of-the-night feedings. So we'll have plenty of time to shop for girly nursery stuff if we need to.
