We dated in the 90s for 6 months, then didn't talk for 8 years, then met back up on 10/19 and were married at the end of April the next year. So 6 months from seeing each other again to the altar. Crazy, indeed.
Got engaged on 6 year anniversary and married at 7 years. Yes it was a long time but we were ok with it. We were both in school on/off and health issues as well.
How long were you together before you got married? 5 years to get engaged and then got married at almost 6 1/2 years.
As I mentioned before though we were young when we met, DH 18 and me almost 21. So we ended up being 24 (almost 25) and 27 respectively when we got married. He proposed about 9 months after he finished his Masters and had been out in the real world for a few months, I honestly wouldn't have wanted a proposal much earlier than 6 months before that.
Dated 6.5 years before getting married (met in HS, married after college). Been married nearly 16 years now. So a total of 22.5 years together, which is more than some of you have been alive!

Met my DH in March of 2004 and we were married 11-19-2005 - so 1 year 9 months. We started living together in my apartment after about 2 months after we met.
8 months before we got married- but I got KTFU 4 months in, so we were (are) even crazier. I do wish we had more time before DS, but everything happens for a reason and I love DH more and more every day!
H and I met when I was 15, in highschool. We dated when I was 16 for a month, had sex once just before I turned 17. We hung out a few times and he moved. We finally started going out again after he found me when I was 22, got married at 24, and here I am 35 fricking years old and its been almost 11 years god help me.

We were together for a year and a half before we got engaged.
We were engaged for 2 years.
We have been married for 11 years (this weekend is our anniversary).
We waited 10 years before having LO (lots of partying, traveling, and overall non-kid-friendly fun to get out of the way before having a child).
Wouldn't change a thing.
