T&P please NT scan today...

Hey ladies, hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine was great until last night when I was trying to get to sleep and started having MAJOR anxiety over today's scan.  I know I have seen the baby's hb at 7w on u/s and I know I heard it at 10w via doppler at the docs office.  I also know that with my last pg, I suffered a m/c at 11w.  I'm 12w now and terrified. 

I'm 40yo and feel like the odds of a trisomy are stacked against me.  I know that my marriage can not withstand a special needs child.  DH just could not hack it, he has learning disabilities himself and a heart condition and the stress of a special needs baby would just about do him in.  I know that as of this moment I have no reason to believe there is anything wrong, but my emotions and fears and getting the best of me.  I could not sleep last night because I kept thinking about this all night.  It was after 4am before I got to sleep and 7am came pretty quick.  I actually had to take one of my anxiety meds (haven't taken since we started TTC before our loss last fall) in order to shut my brain down enough to finally fall asleep.

Any t&p you can spare would be appreciated.  First of all pray for a hb.  Second, a good NT measurement and overall good scan.  My scan is at 2:30 EST, this is going to be a LOONNNGG day.

    I will definitely be praying for you.  Each step of this process is so nerve-racking!  I try to stay busy so my mind is occupied and I can't worry...as much :)  Keep us posted!

    I am AMA as well (41 when we conceived, now 42). I totally understand how you feel. I was terrified too. Try to consider it "confirming that the baby is healthy"  rather than looking for abnormalities. That, and focusing on the U/S, helped me get through the test and the wait for the results.
