So I tried to put on a pair of my regular jeans yesterday. I can't pull them over my hips....I tried several pairs of pants/shorts. My hips are not fat. They still are tight and skinny like before, just wider now. So none of my pants/shorts will pull over them except my maternity pants and comfy elastic waist pants. That's ok because I still have some belly weight to lose anyways so I'm still wearing my mat pants because of that and my c/s incision is till sore and my pants/shorts are all low rise.
My question is.....did your hips ever go back to prepregnancy? Or were they just always wide?
Just trying to plan what I need to buy, if it's just a few things to get by or if I really need to plan a new wardrobe for my lower half now.
Re: Weight loss question
The relaxin hormone that helps everything loosen and spread during pregnancy and delivery is still in your system for 8 weeks after delivery. Your hips could end up being a little bigger than pre-baby but give it some more time before you get too worried. All my pre-preg pants fit around 5 months last time and that's without any dieting or exercise.
ETA: At 4 weeks your uterus still hasn't completely shrunk back down yet either.
