I posted on PgAL but I wanted to see if anyone might have a similar issue.
I went in today for a regular check up and she said I am measuring 35 weeks, but I'm 28. She wants me to go in and see what's going on and why I'm measuring large. I'm hoping I just have a lot of amniotic fluid?
Anyone else have to be in this situation?
Re: Getting an ultrasound because of measuring so far ahead? Anyone?
Yes! I was measuring off the charts huge from pretty early on. I had tons of ultrasounds and all they could keep repeating is that I had polyhydramnios and that she was also a really large baby. They guessed she was 6.5lbs at 33 weeks, and 8.5lbs at 35 weeks! I freaked out as I was passing all the GD tests and they couldn't tell me any specific reasons why both my water and the baby were measuring so far ahead. My mind (with the help of evil google) went to very scary worst case scenarios and reasons and I was really nervous about it.
She ended up being as healthy as can be, and 10lbs 10ounces when she came at 39 weeks. Sometimes it just "is what it is"- sending good thoughts!
I'm little. I've always measured on the small side. With DS1, they were concerned he was too small to survive for a while. He was born 39w,4d at 6 lbs 9.5 oz.
This pregnancy, I lost 18 lbs in the first 18 weeks. I'm currently only 8 lbs above my starting weight... but I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead- after only measuring ahead ONCE before. So they did an u/s. Baby is measuring on the larger side- 81%. Anything larger than 85%, they begin to worry a bit, so I skimmed by. I also have extra fluids, but not enough extra to cause worry.
