Introduction and dumb question

Hello!  We have decided to start trying again and it doesn't seem to be going the same as last time.  With DS1 we very luckily got pregnant on cycle 1, but my cycle seems different this time.  We just decided last month to start, so since I can usually tell when I am ovulating, I didn't chart or use any kits.  It is now day 50ish (usually cycle is 35 days) of my cycle and i am not sure that i have even ovulated.  We have been having sex regularly just in case I am not noticing.  Pregnancy test this am was negative.  Anyways, my dumb question is  about temping.  Do I temp at 4am when i usuallly wake to go pee or wait until i wake for the day?  also fertility friend says it is best to start on day 1, so should i wait until i (someday) get my period or start now?  Thanks!

    They say you need at least 3 hours of good sleep before temping, so unless you are going to sleep for at least that long after getting back in bed, I'd temp when you get up to pee.  Whatever you decide to do, just be consistent with it.

    I'd temp when you get up at 4am since you need at least 3 hours of consistent sleep before.  As far as your cycle, I say if you don't get a + HPT or AF at 60 days call your Dr.  Are you coming off BCP?

    I have been off of the ring for 4 or 5 months, and my cycles have been pretty consistent since then.
