Membranes are stripped!

I went in for my 39 week appointment today and I am 2.5cm dilated, 70% effaced and baby is at a -3 station. My doctor had said she could strip my membranes if I wanted to today. I am a bit of a wuss, so I have been worrying about it hurting for a couple of days. I must have toughened up because it didn't hurt at all! I am hoping this is a foreshadow of how tough I will be in labor :) A girl can hope right?

    I'm glad it didn't hurt, I'm having mine done this afternoon.  Hopefully it will work for both of us!!

    I didn't think it hurt much either.  I did make it to 6-7 cm without an epidural but I couldn't make it any further!

    Had mine done yesterday. Was a bit uncomfortable and I had a pretty bad back ache last night and was cramping. Today feel more normal, but am having a ton of thick snotty discharge mixed with blood (sorry tmi). Maybe that means things will start working soon, I guess we will see.
