Is it normal to feel like your belly is going to explode???

This is probably a stupid question, but sometimes I feel so bloated and full, I feel like my belly is about to explode!!!  My husband freaks me out and says, "omg-- I hope your water doesn't break" (lol) but I don't think that's what happens, right??  LOL  Just need some clarification!  Thanks!

    The times I've felt like that were during a big growth spurt where I was suddenly noticeably bigger a few days later, or if I've eaten too much and just feel miserable afterward.  I'm 99% sure it has nothing to do with your water breaking.

    I think it's just from the baby growing and your body trying to make room.  My belly feels really tender and I've got pressure on my ribs.  It feels like something is crammed in there and there isn't enough space.  So yeah, it kind of feels like the baby might escape through my stomach sometimes.  The next two months will be interesting, lol.

    So I think what you are feeling sounds common enough for the third trimester.

    FWIW, I'm bruised all around my navel (sexy, I know) and its super tight.  It has nothing to do with an impending breaking of water.

    Ugh...MM so am I.  I started to notice it last night and it seems worse this morning. It's so lovely.

    Yep, same here. My belly button area looks like one giant, discolored stretch mark.

    And yeah, I feel like I'm going to explode a lot because it's all so tight, and like the PP's it happens mostly at night. And no, it doesn't have anything to do with your water potentially breaking. Just another "close to the end" discomfort.

    I felt like this earlier this morning. My stomach was tight (wasn't having BH this morning) and it looked bigger.
    Me (33)& DX: DOR, FSH-20.3; DH(28):SA=normal 8/11 HSG= clear!
