I am LOVING being a mom!! When we first came home from the hospital and the weeks that came after I felt completely lost and in a never ending cycle of cry-eat-sleep-poop.... Now that he is smiling, cooing, playing (still crying-eating-sleeping-pooing) every minute has just been amazing.  I really does get "easier."

    Thank you for posting that! I am 3.5 weeks in, overwhelmed, and upset with myself that I don't love tending to DS 24/7. I love *him*, of course, but when DH walks through the door after work, I hand him the baby because I just need a break.

    I'm looking forward to things getting easier... :)

    Thank you so much for posting this!  My son is ALMOST 2 months old, but he constantly cries, and I still feel so overwhelmed with everything.  I count down the minutes till my husband gets home from work some days so I can just take a little break.  It really helped put my mind at ease a bit to read your post, saying that it does get easier.  I just gotta take it one day at a time...thanks again!  :-D

    Thanks for the hope....light at the end of the 1st few weeks tunnel! Last night was hard, still trying to figure her out but I cant wait for play time and smiles!

    I feel the same way. I told my mom, "I always loved him, but now I LIKE him." I have to go back to work Monday and I'm sad about it. Those first 6 weeks, though, I was dying to go back to work. It's amazing how much changes in a few weeks. The more interactive he becomes, the more fun it is. The first few weeks are like taking care of a crying Christmas ham!
