I am so sad about the character that died, and so annoyed about the amount of commercials. What did you all think?

I agree completely! I'm pissed that the death was so sudden, that Owne's such a twat, that Kepner's still alive, oh and that the end was so anticlimactic!

Totally frustrating. Wonder if the are still figuring out the actors' contracts and maybe more of them will die while they're waiting to be rescued???

I was so disappointed in the whole episode. I think SpartyMom raises a good point that they don't quite know what's going on with those characters yet.

Yeah someone mentioned on another board that contracts weren't finalized when they shot this episode.

Personally, I never cared for the character who died so it really didn't bother me that much.

Since there's a spoiler tag on this- can we start naming names? I want to see what everyone's theories are on who lives, etc....

I am kinda sad to see Lexi go and I was really disappointed they killed her so early in the show. I felt like there were too many commercials and parts of the show were too drawn out (like Meredith crying when Lexi died...I almost turned the channel). I will say the writers are really good at the cliffhanger season finales. Some shows leaving me saying "I want to see what happens" but Grey's makes me think I have to see what happens. (therapy may be appropriate Wink

I've read that the contracts are now renewed with the original cast (Meridith, Yang, Derek, Bailey, Weber & Karev). So if anyone else died it would be Sloan or Arizona. But with Teddy leaving and Lexie gone, I'm doubting anyone else will die at this point...but who knows.

I am pissed that Lexie died and also wished they carried it out more into the episode for more drama. I didn't think the ending was anticlimatic though..it left me wanting to know if anyone else would die before they're rescued.

THANK YOU! I stopped watching Greys long ago, but I wanted to know who dies.

Lexi died because part of the plane landed on her. Mark is barely hanging on with a hairspray tube draining blood from his chest & Arizona is FTFO because she is married to an Ortho surgeon and she can see her leg bone sticking out. At the end, she coughed up blood. Derek's hand was shoved through a piece of the plane & even though he got it out, I am not sure how he will be able to use his hand to operate after this.

I kind of like how they left it. I hope the beginning of next season picks right up on them needing to be found and saved, not fast forward to a month or two later and every one is fine and back to work.

I loved how Cristina kept making cracks about how absurd it all was with the bombs and the shootings and bus crashings and people keep dying. "I have PTSD!"

I had a feeling it would be Lexi. They were focusing on her a lot in the past couple episodes, especially with her finally telling Mark she loved him. Plus, she's the only "beloved" character I could think of. I don't consider Arizona or Kepner to be "beloved.

So here are my predictions for the new season: If Robbins dies (she still might, she was coughing up blood), Alex will stay and take over peds. If Mark dies (which he might), Avery will stay and take over plastics. Derek and Meredith will not go to Boston because Derek's hand is messed up and Harvard won't want him anymore. He'll take a while to heal and Meredith will be needed at Seattle. With Teddy being fired, Owen will offer her position to Cristina and she'll stay as well. Kepner will somehow get hired back so she can stick around and be annoying.

I literally bawled during the first 20 minutes of the show. I loved Lexi, and watching her and Marks commentary as she was dying tore me up. I'm generally a person who gets a trickling tear, not bawling my eyes out over a TV show.

I haven't cried at a tv show in quite some time. Even some really sad sh*t, no tears. I was crying so hard last night when Mark was telling Lexie he loved her and they were going to get married. Then Merideth came along and started bawling and I snapped out of it. She is such a bad crying actress.
