It's a......!!!!

So DH is trying to think of good ideas to announce to our family in the waiting room if it is a girl or a boy. We have decided that when it comes times to push we only want the two of us there but our parents will probably already be at the hospital waiting for the delivery so he wants to have that old fashion moment where he gets to run into the waiting room and announce what it is.

He doesn't like the traditional cigar idea but would love to do "something" else, any suggestions?

    DH loved "his moment" so much the last time, that he's the reason we're team green again.

    He didn't have anything original, just a simple "It's a girl.  Her name is ...."   We didn't tell anyone the names in advance, so it was a double surprise.

    our family is OOT so we will likely just tell them on the phone after the baby is here. 

    I do want DH to be the one to annouce the sex at the birth though,

    We didn't tell anyone I was in labor. When he called his parents to tell them that baby was here, he wouldn't tell them girl or boy yet. By the time anyone got to the hospital, he was holding baby and said something like, "Meet your granddaughter, Caroline."

    We aren't telling any of DH's family what sex the baby is until they see us in the hospital in our PP room.  We went to see their reactions. :)  We'll just call them and say baby has arrived and then wait for the mad dash to our room to find out. My parents are out of state, so they'll be told over the phone.

    He should change his shirt to either Pink or Blue! Maybe have the name printed on the front too... That would be different... thoes shirts aren't to hard to make or get done... and the other one you can just use a rag around the house later...

    Omg...I dont really have any unique ideas but just thinking of this moment makes me tear up!! We arent team green but I can only imagine how amazingly special it is going to be for all of you team greeners and your hubbies. Makes me want to plan for team green next time!!

    I agree with the previous poster--I don't have any good ideas (other than your husband wearing something pink or blue--like a tie or a hat or something) but I am sitting at my desk eating my lunch tearing up thinking about that special moment.  We already know we are having a girl and we've already told the name, so no surprises here!  I think that no matter what you choose to do, it will be amazing!
