IKEA Baby

Hello Ladies! I've been doing a little looking around the internet, but I haven't bought anything yet.(I'm waiting until a few weeks into the 2nd tri)  I was checking out IKEA on line, and they had some cute things (especially textiles).  How is the quality?  I see its uber cheap, so I wasn't sure if that was an indicator of the quality.  I've shopped IKEA before, and have some sheets, and a duvet cover I love, and they are years old.  I just wasn't sure if the baby stuff was the same.

    I've got some of the sheet sets, and they've been fine (much better than the Walmart brand). I've never had any issues with their children's products, and my kids are pretty rough on things.

    I think it depends on the individual product. When my mom was headed to Ikea, I gave her a few things to feel for me. The washcloths weren't soft at all, for example, but some of the sheets feel great.

    Thanks Ladies!  I guess I am just going to have to take a road trip to IKEA in the next couple months.  I am one of those hands on kinda gals... I want to touch everything before I buy it.  I don't know how people shop on the internet, I would go crazy!

    They are soft and good quality in my experience. All the linens on every crib/bed in our house is from IKEA at the moment. They have all held up well in the washer/dryer.

    Of course there are going to be some lines that are cheaper than others. You just have to go in and feel them to see what you think.

     

    Totally agree! We have a mix of IKEA linens and other linens. IKEA carries several different levels of quality. Look for mid to high quality by looking at everything at the store. Some of our IKEA stuff holds up much better than items I've got elsewhere for the same price.
