Hi everyone, The Adoption Prayer Group is a support group utilizing the power of prayer. If you want to join I will assign you a prayer buddy and all you have to do is simply include that person in your prayers. Very simple-yet powerful!!! This Week?s Events:
Praise: Amyaggie 97: She and her DH have sent off all of their paperwork from the home study checklist! Now they just need their references to send their part in and then they can schedule the visit.
GnomeSweetGnome: She just landed a job as a graduate assistant, so she will be making more $ to save for adoption and she will be able to graduate on time without doing practicum hours.
Zanymermaid: She and her DH have been home study approved!
Special Prayer Requests: Please let me know if you have any prayer requests. Silliest Bunny: She had a routine CT/PET scan on 5/10. She is a cancer survivor so she is concerned about the results of this scan. Please pray for good results and her peace of mind. Rachel: Please pray that she will be able to be at peace and less nervous while she is waiting to find out if her application has been accepted.
GnomeSweetGnome: Please pray that the women waiting to become moms had peace and comfort during Mother?s Day weekend.
BMcLeod Team: Her friend was rushed to the hospital a few days ago; she's had 2 surgeries and has been in a coma the whole time. Yesterday they put her friend on dialysis for fear her kidneys are failing. BMcLeod just got word that her friend is slowly coming to, so in the next few days she should know a) how her friend is overall and b) if her friend is going to have permanent kidney damage. Please keep her friend and her friend?s 13 year old daughter (she has no father in the picture, just her Mom) in your prayers.
Lizlemmon19: She is in the process of trying to adopt 1-2 children from foster care in MA. They are waiting on final approval of their home study at the state level. Please pray that they receive their approval soon.
Welcome new members! Please welcome Amyaggie 97 and lizlemmon19!
Reflection for the day: Psalm 51:10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Question of the day: Memorial Day weekend is next weekend and summer is right around the corner! What are some of your favorite summer activities? I love to swim and go to the beach. Group updates: -If you have any upcoming events (appointments, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) be sure to let me know so I can post them in the events section!!

March - Sept 2012: Moved to RE.. 4 treatment cycles - responses of one or no follicles
09.03.12: Diagnosed Poor Ovarian Response.. DE IVF only option

12.23.12: Surprise BFP (first ever)... 12.25 - 12.31: Natural M/C
All of our references are in! We are supposed to hear from the social worker by this afternoon as to what day our HS will be. And have started working on our profile book.
QOTD: Summer means longer days and spending, even more, time outside. I look forward to the wildlife camp that I do every summer and just hanging out with friends and DH.
Thank you for the prayer request! I just got word that she's still in ICU, so still fighting, but deemed 'stable' for the first time since everything happened!
QOTD - For my fiance and I summer means camping with our pups. We go to a waterfront site every summer, and my dog LOVES swimming. Usually my family (Mom & bf, Sister & bf, Brother, gf & daughter) all have their own sites in the same park so we get to see everyone. This summer also means my mother's surprise 50th birthday we're throwing, as well as my bridal showers and my bachlorette... going to be a busy summer!
That's right, I blog! - The Domestic Soldier
Blsd4given I will pray for you and sending you hugs.
We have a praise b/c God has given us a mom that chose us last Friday. We pray for her, her children and this new miracle that will join us in July.
For Memorial Day weekend we like to get away on a mini vacation with the extended family. For the upcoming weekend we are going to Williamsburg VA and enjoy Busch Gardens, Country Water USA and historical Williamsburg.
Wishing everyone many blessings.
Carolina
Still waiting for our next miracle.
QOTD: I LOVE summer...I will be off work and able to spend time with the fam at the beach, water park, and busch gardens!
C&Dwaiting---enjoy your time in Williamsburg! We go there often in the summer.

QOTD: We like to spend time grilling in our backyard in the summer. I also think we're going to do a lot more camping this year, we went this past Saturday and had a great time!
I am getting started on our required/recommended reading and making baby steps on our application and homestudy paper work during my break from school. I already finished one book from the list! I'm going to make a separate post about this, too.
Upcoming events: Our 6th wedding anniversary is the 27th!
Just an update on us. We had a 2nd pre-trial hearing for our foster son last week, and the committee is recommending his plan be switched from reunification to adoption. We have the actual hearing on May 24th to see if the judge upholds the committee's decision.
Also, our file was pulled for a sibling group of two girls. We are up against two other families, and should find out by next week if we were chosen. Please pray for us as we have a lot going on over the next week or so.
My summer plans are to get tons of R&R. We don't have any big vacation plans, but I do want to get some projects completed before the 2012-2013 school year starts.
