I see so many people whose LOs are doing everything early, and it's making me a bit sad that my little guy isn't as ambitious! He is almost 8 months and still won't sit unsupported. He can, for a short bit, but is so uninterested in it that he just lays himself down after about 5 sec. He's army crawling, but not even trying to pull himself up. Anyone else with a lazy butt like mine?

Re: Anyone's LO not meeting "milestones"?
My LO turned 6 months today and doesn't roll over. Well, he did it twice from tummy to back, but I think it was an accident and hasn't been repeated in months. He has, however, skipped right to sitting up on his own. I think they all do things in their own time. I think it's awesome yours is army crawling, as I know plenty of 8-month-olds that won't do that, they just roll around to get anywhere.
I just keep reminding myself that it's not like he'll be in kindergarten and not rolling over, so whatever.
Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.Every baby is different. I'm sure your DS is doing just fine.
DD was super early on lifting her head, supporting her weight on her legs, rolling both ways, sitting unassisted, standing unassisted, pincer grasp, and cruising.
She has zero interest in crawling--hates being on her tummy and rolls over almost immediately. She can pull herself up if she holds onto my fingers, but she won't do it with anything else.
So your DS is more advanced then she is on getting around on his own
She cruises, but we have to stand her up to do it.
All babies are different.... my 9mo started sitting unsupported before my friend's LO who is 6 weeks older. In contrast, her LO has been clapping and saying mama for almost 2 months now and my LO is not there yet. I wouldn't be concerned.
Someone above mentioned that if you Pedi isn't worried about it, neither should you be. Good advice!
