Want dress ideas if you have them :)

I scheduled a family portrait for June 3rd and the photographer sent clothing suggestions, which included staying away from busy prints and doing solids. I have this dress for DD but I'm not sure I like it enough. Plus, it's a tad busy. I'd love some dress ideas that are not overly frilly, but are cute. Also, would you color coordinate or no? I'm thinking of wearing a red dress but wondering if along with her navy and white it will look like a 4th of July picture. I'm certain I'm overthinking it, but it can't hurt to get another opinion.

    Cute dress! I think that would be fine. I don't think I would think 4th of July if I saw the picture unless you brought it up first.

    I think it's adorable and not too busy.  If you wear patterns, and DH wears another one - that's too busy.  But little girls don't have large enough clothes to be considered busy, IMO!

    As for you - I think red would be fine.  Not too 4th of July, and Red and Navy look great together!
