neocate users - help

so the alimentum helped me girls but not totally - still too many poops that were large in volume and still mucus. so the pedi said to switch to neocate.  i fed them about an hour ago and they really struggled through it.  i dont know what to do. one kept spitting it out at first and the other needed "breaks" between each ounce.  i dont know if it's the taste - if they just are not used to it.  (i mean it smells worse than the alimentum).  it's just frustrating bc they chugged the alimentum, but the only formula they can apparently be on they wont eat.

    I added an ounce gradually each day to their bottles - slowly phasing out the alimentum. It's what the doctor recommended. Helped them get used to the taste. I didn't think it would work, but it did. That stuff tastes horrible but one of my twins is still on Neocate toddler formula and loves it. Yuck!

    Hmm DD didn't seem to have any issues with taking hers. It is higher calorie though so maybe they feel fuller?? I'm guessing you ate mixing the standard 1 scoop per each ounce of water. Not to sure any tips though,sorry.
