Hi Ladies, When carrying bottle of breastmilk out on errands, how do you heat up, prior to giving to the baby? I saw a travel warmer online, but is that neccessary? Is room temporature milk okay? Thanks.
If I took a fresh bottle with me and we'd be gone less than 4 or 5 hours, I wouldn't worry about warming it up. DS would take it at room temp.
If I took a cold bottle, I would order a cup of hot water from wherever was close, and sit the bottle down in the hot water until it warmed up. I've never used anything to warm a bottle other than hot water, at home or on the go.
DS would take room temp milk, so if we weren't going to be out for long, or I knew I'd be feeding him within a few hours, I'd just leave the milk out. You can also get a thermos and fill it with boiling water. It should stay warm enough to warm up the bottle when it's time to feed.
