I didn't realize I was/become super AP until DD was a little older and I decided that my instincts of co-sleep/baby wearing were okay and I stopped listening to everyone telling me "that was wrong"
Lately, I feel like I want to hold, snuggle, and be with her 24/7. I don't know if it's because she's "becoming a two year old" (aka.. acting out) and I want to give her extra love or if I'm just overly needy but she just doesn't want to be with me as much as I want to be with her! Ah. She does cuddle every day before nap time and hugs me all the time. What's my deal?
I'm going to die when she goes off for college, haha!

I agree with this statement too. DS is very affectionate back; however I also know he will get to a stage where he wants more privacy and may back off on the affection. But since we aren't there yet we will continue to do lots of hugs and kisses!!
DD just spent the majority of a two-hour train ride sitting on my lap yesterday just because she wanted to (I could have easily kept reading her books while she sat next to me or across from me). So, my answer is OFTEN, and DD is almost 4.
Some kids are snugglier than others. I lucked out and got a super-snuggly one. That makes me very happy.
As often as he will let me!!
I hold my son a lot too.
And I think I hold him more now then I have in the last few months since he is almost 2 and has a "need or desire" for the affection at random moments where as a few months prior he was just discovering independence wouldn't stand for it, lol and since he is getting older I definitely take advantage of any time he wishes to be held.
