Best intercourse times?

Just wondering how many of you try with intercourse every other day or every day during an iui cycle? I've heard both from friends, and I've done both myself...just can't figure what is best to do or if there is any such thing as best. Sorry for the super personal question!
8/09 DS born, pregnant 1st try with him...he's perfect. 8/10 BFP, 1st try...Blighted Ovum. D&C 10/10. 4/11 BFP...Chemical Pregnancy. 5/12 BFP...FHR 110 at 7 weeks, measured only 6 weeks. No heartbeat at 8 weeks. Miscarriage. 3 IUI cycles with clomid. all BPN. 4th IUI cycle with injectables (follistim 75iu & ovidrel). BFP, ending in miscarriage.

    We have always followed the advice of our doctor to have sex the night I trigger and then obstain from sex for the next 24 hours before the IUI.  I've sort of thrown in the towel with timed intercourse though.  After 21 cycles and 3 IUIs, I'm thinking our chances to conceive the old-fashioned way are slim to none.  I suppose there's always a shot but we don't stress about having sex at certain times during IUI cycles.
    DD conceived naturally in 2009.  TTC #2 since August 2010.  Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.
