Hello ladies!! A few of you have been asking for updates and I just haven't gotten to it. Sorry!
So I'm now 27w2d with a little boy this time. His name is Lincoln
This pregnancy has been ok. Different than it was with Addy. I've had a few scares with lack of movement but everything turned out to be ok. LO likes to sit with his butt shoved down in my pelvis making it hard for me to walk and when he was smaller, hard for me to feel him.
It turns out that had Addy been alive I would have been forced to do an emergency c section. She was just to big for me to birth in a "safe" amount of time. So along with watching this ones umbilical cord we are also closely watching his size. At 25w he was already 2.5lbs and has been consistency measuring ahead.
So I won't go past 39w that is for sure. Depending on size and lung development we might be inducing earlier than that. As of now we are playing it by ear to see if we will be trying for another vaginal birth or if we will do a c section. But my doctor wants me to be prepared for both.
She has been watching me extremely closely and after this week I will be switching to weekly apts. Then at 34w we will do weekly NST also and starting at 36w we will do bi weekly apts and bi weekly NST until delivery. If at any moment she doesn't like what she sees then delivery will happen immediately.
Sorry that got long but there is an update! Thank you all for being so supportive and always being here to help me. I honesty appreciate all of you
Re: As requested..... An update on me :)
Im glad things are going well and I love the name!
Avery liked to give me scares with lack of movement on several occasions, but I cannot imagine going through that after experiencing the loss you did with Addy. I am glad they are keeping a close eye on you!
I know at the A/S they look at the cord, but is there anyway for them to have an idea of how long the cord actually is?

I was high risk with dd too and had to undergo all the extra NST tests starting at 32 wks. I have a very complicated medical history that I won't bore you with but they were also concerned that dd was getting too big for me to carry safely. I started having difficulty breathing around 34 wks so they scheduled a C/S for when I was 36w5d. She was in perfect health and went straight to the nursery. She weighed 5.2.
I will keep you, Lincoln, yh and family all in my prayers. Stay strong mama!

SO happy to hear an update and so glad things are going well!
A tiny butt in your pelvis sounds painful!
So glad you and Lincoln are doing well! We had a lot of monitoring appointments toward the end of my pregnancy and while it is nerve-wracking leading up to the appointments, they are great for peace of mind too. I hope they bring you some comfort too.
Keep the updates coming!

I hope I didnt offend you by asking. I am glad that there are measurements that will allow them to make an educated guess. I know I cannot wait to see pictures of Lincoln.
