i stay away from the soda all together. i will occasionally have some tea, but its not too often. i drink a lot of orange juice and lemonade. fresh squeezed lemonade is the BEST! and it really helps me with my nausea.
If you can stay away from soda that's great. I have a hard time so I limit myself to 3 a week. My dr said one a day was fine, 35mg out of 200mg a day limit. Just not to replace a meal with one.
I also drink lots of lemonade because it helps with the nausea. Water and milk or any other juice.
I always stay away from soda, the sugar content is extremely high & that's definitely not necessary when pregnant. Technically you can drink (I think) caffeine wise about 2 sodas because there is less caffeine in a soda than coffee and doctors claim 1 to 2 cups of coffee a day is considered safe. They suggest taking care with juices as well due to the high sugar content. I drink water or decaf americanos/coffee and sometimes a Green Machine/Green Goodness.
Water is hard for be to drink enough of even when I am not pregnant, so I try to drink pretty much anything that I can thats not filled with tons of sugar and/or caffeine. RIght now my passion is Odwalla's Superfood green juice. I could seriously live of that stuff, but I know its lots of sugar, but its also servings of fruit and veggies.
Lemonade is good too, I also have been drinking maybe 1 large gatorade a week or so too. It helps also to just slice some lemons or even oranges and put them in my water too.

Gatoraid and Poweraid also work wonders. You can also mix flavored water packs in water battles with a little sugar to sweeten it. Um... Carbonated Water is also okay to drink.

I drink milk and water, decaf tea, decaf coffee, an occasional sprite but very rarely, and an occasional juice. That's about it.
If I liked to drink caffeinated soda I would switch to caffeine-free.

I drink whatever I want. I drink a lot of water throughout the day and I also drink caffeinated soda. I do avoid drinks with artificial sweeteners, but always hated the taste even before getting KU.
I drink water, non-fat milk, choc soy milk, decaf tea/coffee, and watered-down lemonade (goes well with fizzy water). I normally don't drink soda anyway, and I stay away from any drinks that have artificial sweetener. Absolutely no energy drinks and I avoid herbal teas except for caffeine-free chamomile.

You can have one cup of caffeine a day if you need to. I prefer no caffeine at all - even when not pregnant. I think you should be drinking water. I don't know that you need to be drinking milk - is that something you enjoy? Like pp said soda is a bad idea in general - it packs on the pounds/bloat. But to each their own! Just my opinion!
I drink lots of seltzer because all it is is water and carbonation. The bubbles seem to help me feel better sometimes.
I also drink a fair amount of OJ. I know it has a lot of sugar even though I only drink not-from-concentrate, no sugar added. Still. It's my one consistent craving so far.
I generally stay away from things with artificial sweeteners and other chemicals and colors, and that is especially true now. No garbage in here.
Drinking LaCroix is getting me past my previous diet coke habit. I occasionally have a diet coke when I have a headache (maybe 2-3x a week max)--my thinking is that is better than a pain killer but maybe that is not true. I know the chemicals are bad and I feel guilty about the caffeine. It does seem to help though. I am loving vitamin water too--one of the only things I can tolerate! I doubt it is really chock full of good vitamins but it isn't full of bad things either.
I am only drinking water and milk. Caffeine (even in small amounts) increases my anxiety. I have an anxiety disorder so that's the last thing I need. I don't drink juice because I feel like it's wasted calories but I've never been a juice drinker.
