How do you handle this? DS is rough with DD (who is only 5 weeks, DS is almost 3 1/2). He squeezes, headbutts and puts all his weight on her, I am in Mama bear mode and I feel like I am always yelling or redirecting him. I am trying hard to find the positive behaviors that he is exhibiting and giving him praise, but they truly are few and far between. He also LOVES to wake her up when she is sleeping, and this drives me nuts. Any advice or suggestions would be SO appreciated! Help!

Re: If you have 2 and your older LO is rough with younger LO...
This was so hard for me (and still is to a degree). Honestly, I just kept the apart until the little one could fend for himself a bit. And I never left them alone together.
Mine are closer together (a year and a half) and the older one really got threatened with the younger one became mobile. So for me, the ages of 6months - 14 months were sort of the worst.
No advice.
Wine.
Prevention was key in the beginning, but to be completely honest DS1 wasn't all that impressed with DS2 when we came home from the hospital.
Nowadays, DS2 is only 3 lbs lighter than DS1. I let DS1 play a little rough with DS2. No hitting, pinching or kicking, but DS2 loves to let DS1 "tackle" him. They fall over together laughing. Nothing mean, but just rough. I'm OK with that.
They're going to continue on with this behavior for the rest of their lives (if they're anything like DH and BIL).
this, except my youngest is like 13lbs lighter than my oldest. I think she may be a football player because she dies laughing when DS tackles her.
