1992 Mitsubishi Mirage - Maroon color. It was my dad's car when I learned to drive and the day I turned 16 he turned it over to me and bought himself a new ride. I loved that car!
1986 Dodge Lancer. I had it for about 6 months before it blew a head gasket. It wasn't in too bad of shape for an old car; the worst things were that it had no AC and no tape deck.
The car that i learned to drive in was my mom's car at the time - a silver camry wagon. But MY first car - the car I bought from my neighbor for $1200 with my own hard-earned cash - was a 1988 red toyota celica gt-s. My dad called it the BratMobile.

I learned to drive in my parents' 1985 Chevy full size van.
I didn't get my own car until I was 21. It was a beat up 1990 Mercury Cougar that I bought for $500 from my then-FI's mom. I almost miss that car. Ok, not really.
I learned to drive on my mom's Buick Lasabre and my 1st car was a 1992 Mazda Protege. Bought it off a friend for $500 and it was a stick. Didn't even know how to drive a stick but learned quickly on that car.

I learned to drive on my parent's Oldsmobile, but my 1st car was a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix. The front driver and passenger windows always fell off the tracks, the alternator (sp?) went twice in less than a year and the windshield wipers only worked when the left turn signal was on. I made a lot of left turns when it rained...
My dad had removed the carpet in the back to use it like a "truck". I added a pink sequin steering wheel cover and the sequins fell off all the time. Plus I had a disco ball on the mirror.
Re: FLASHBACK POLL!! (non clicky) What was your

Rabbit Convertible - I saved my own money to buy it- it was 10 yrs old at the time (this was in 1990)... Loved that car!!!
Growing Up Olson
I bought my grandfather's white '94 Ford Ranger. it had a bright orange "Farm Truck" license plate.
